I'm often faced with an inch-thick stack of "stuff" that I have to do "something" with. Seriously, this is what I picked up from her little cubby TODAY ALONE:
An even bigger pile came home last Wednesday. Man, my house is small! I feel like I shouldn't be able to bring myself to toss it, but she's TWO. I have several more years of artwork to, um, look forward to. So now it's time for The Host to ask YOU! What do you do with all this

Some you save, a lot you toss. Sorry but that's the way it is. You can't keep it all.

She is very prolific. It's gotta be tough deciding what to keep.
ReplyDeleteWhen mine were young, I picked "art of the week" to post on the fridge. When the week was over, I would toss it and they would promptly replace it with something else they made.
ReplyDeleteIf it was something for Mother's Day or my birthday, I saved them in a Rubbermaid tote with the date and their age on the back, and also anything with their handprints on it so I could show them that yes...they were once *that* small.
Fact is, you can't keep everything, but you can proudly display it until the next great work of art comes along.
Joyce - I know. If I had my druthers I'd scan it and save it digitally, but I know I just don't have time to do that.
ReplyDeleteLangley - Tell me about it! I'm leaning towards things she paints. She's already showing some Jackson Pollock-like brilliance.
Alison - I like the art of the week. She's too little for it now (which is why I should toss *EVERYTHING* before she notices) but when she's older and possibly more sentimental than I am, I'll remember that one!
