I started this blog when my husband and I were expecting our first child to document my pregnancy and warn people of all the things nobody tells you about. Then it followed our family's journey through secondary infertility. It turns out I forgot as much as I learned. One might think that motherhood has softened me... One would be wrong.

What's THAT got to do with the price of eggs?
I got nothing. It's day 27 of NaBloPoMo and I'm running out of steam. So rather than dusting off an oldie from the archives I'm going to bitch, very briefly, about the price of eggs. You keep hearing about eggs as a cheap source of protein and relative to every kind of meat that's true. But the cheapest dozen eggs I could find today was $2.89. For 12 eggs. What's up with that?

$2.89 bucks for 12 eggs is not that bad, I love eggs especially the sunny side up. cooked by my mom
Ours are $4.99/dozen. $7/dozen if you want organic!!
Adel, Yup, I love 'em too.
NM, Oh yeah, $2.89 was for the cheapest I could find because The husband needed a bunch for a recipe. Organics are just ludicrous! I should build a chicken coop in my backyard!
